The raised relief sits on the center of Pardubice, where the Chrudimka runs north into the Elbe and the larger river bends across the upper half of the piece. Around it, the printed map follows the Elbe's loops and side channels out across the flat lowland, crossed by the main roads leading out of town.

Pardubice is flat, and the relief says so honestly: the ground rises only about 30 meters across the whole map, so it settles into five low layers and leaves the rivers and roads to do the drawing. Every contour, road and stretch of water comes from open map data, simplified so the town reads from across a room. We print it on our own printer, mount it on a card with the city's name and coordinates, and frame it in oak or black, ready to hang.
