Jihlava
The raised relief centers on Jihlava's old town, where the main roads from every direction meet, with the river Jihlava running along its southern side. Around it, the printed map spreads over the soft, rolling ground of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands.
Jihlava sits high: the lowest point on the map is about 465 meters up, and from there the ground climbs about 160 meters more, stepped into twelve layers of color. Every contour, road and stream comes from open map data, simplified so the town reads from across a room. The relief is printed on our own printer and mounted on a card with the city's name and coordinates, then framed in oak or black, ready to hang.
Medium: an A4 print with a 13 cm relief, 32 × 42 cm in its frame. Large: an A3 print with a 20 cm relief, 42 × 52 cm in its frame.
