Hallstatt
The raised relief splits between water and mountain: Lake Hallstatt fills its eastern half, and on the western side the slope climbs straight up from a narrow strip of shore that the village and its one road share. To the south the valley opens out, and the printed map carries the mountains on to the north and west.
On this map the ground climbs about 1,460 meters from the lake to the slopes above it, compressed into twelve layers of color. Every contour, shoreline and road comes from open map data, simplified so the valley reads from across a room. The relief is printed on our own printer and mounted on a card with the village's name and coordinates, then framed in oak or black, ready to hang.
Medium: an A4 print with a 13 cm relief, 32 × 42 cm in its frame. Large: an A3 print with a 20 cm relief, 42 × 52 cm in its frame.
